Description:
In order to educate the children about the importance of workers and the value of different professions in society & instill social awareness by introducing children to the concept of dignity of labor at an early age, Fancy Dress Competition on Labour's Day was conducted for the children of LKG.
The children were enrolled by giving their names.
On 5th May 2025, soon after the assembly, all the children along with the participants were asked to form a line & proceed towards the Pre Primary activity Hall. Girls & boys were seated on the red & green mats seperately.
Group photo of all the participant was taken. Then the children who came dressed as vegetable seller, delivery boy, green grocery, flower seller, painter, mechanic etc, came one by one on the stage & gave self introduction & spoke few lines about the person they were dressed as.
The judgement was given on the basis of creative costume, introduction, voice clarity.
Reverand Sister Gemma congratulated the winners & blessed all the participants.
This way, children learnt about various roles people play in society & the hard work and dedication of laborers and service providers.
While performing in front of an audience boosted their self-esteem and public speaking skills. By stepping into the shoes of workers, children learnt empathy and the importance of respecting all types of work.
